1. Overview
SigMeet is a native macOS application that blends local AI models with an optional SigMeet AI Cloud service hosted on managed GPU infrastructure. These Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (“Terms”) explain how you may use the SigMeet app, the sigmeet.ai website, and any related services, and how we process personal data while operating them. By installing or using SigMeet you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the app and discontinue use of the website.
2. Services Covered
- SigMeet macOS application — local transcription, live meeting intelligence, AI Live Agents, and offline model management running directly on your Mac.
- SigMeet AI Cloud — an optional cloud relay that executes open-source AI models on SigMeet-managed GPUs without storing the content of your requests.
- sigmeet.ai and subdomains — marketing pages, documentation, downloads, and support forms hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure.
3. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years old, capable of forming a binding contract, and comply with local laws governing AI-assisted communication. Keep your device secure, maintain up-to-date macOS versions, and ensure you have the rights to any content you process through SigMeet.
4. Software License and Acceptable Use
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SigMeet on macOS devices you own or control. You may not:
- Decompile, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app without written permission.
- Circumvent security features, misuse SigMeet to violate privacy laws, or harvest data from others without consent.
- Use SigMeet AI Cloud to process unlawful content or infringe upon intellectual property rights.
We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials
SigMeet may offer free tiers, trials, or paid subscriptions. Pricing, renewal terms, and cancellation options are presented at the time of purchase. All payments are handled by trusted processors (for example, Apple or Stripe acting on SigMeet’s behalf). You authorise those processors to bill you according to the plan you choose. Subscription benefits may change, but we will notify you before material changes take effect.
6. Availability, Updates, and Support
SigMeet is provided “as-is” and “as available”. We aim for high reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, especially when using local GPU resources or third-party APIs. Automatic updates may install improvements, security fixes, and new features. Contact info@sigmeet.ai for support.
7. Privacy Principles
SigMeet is built around privacy and local-first design. Meeting audio, transcripts, notes, screenshots, agent boards, and any AI-generated content remain on your Mac inside the folder you choose. SigMeet does not copy that content to our servers unless you explicitly share it elsewhere.
8. Data We Collect
We collect only the data needed to run the service:
- Subscription and billing details — plan status, renewal dates, and payment confirmations managed via secure processors.
- Technical telemetry — anonymous or aggregated diagnostics such as feature usage counts, GPU performance metrics, and crash logs to troubleshoot issues.
- Support interactions — information you provide when contacting us for help.
We do not collect or store meeting recordings, transcripts, notes, screenshots, or the prompts and outputs created by AI Live Agents.
9. How We Use Data
Collected data is used to:
- Deliver subscription features and verify account eligibility.
- Maintain product stability, detect crashes, and improve GPU performance heuristics.
- Respond to support requests and notify you about critical updates or policy changes.
We never sell or monetise personal data.
10. Data Storage and Retention
- Local content stays on your Mac in the location you select. You manage retention and backups.
- Subscription records are retained while your account is active and for up to seven years afterwards to meet legal and accounting requirements.
- Crash and telemetry data are kept for up to 24 months in aggregated form, then deleted or anonymised further.
You may request deletion of telemetry or support interactions at any time.
11. SigMeet AI Cloud Processing
SigMeet AI Cloud runs open-source models on SigMeet-managed GPU clusters. Requests are processed in volatile memory, the outputs are returned to your app, and no content is persisted after the response is delivered. Usage is metered solely to manage capacity and billing; payload data is not stored.
12. Cookies and Local Storage
The website uses essential cookies and local storage to keep the site reliable, remember consent choices, and understand product-level usage. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are employed. You can change browser settings to manage cookies at any time. The macOS app stores configuration files and AI models locally on your machine.
13. Third-Party Services
SigMeet utilises trusted, GDPR-compliant providers:
- Google Cloud Platform and Firebase for hosting, authentication, analytics, and secure configuration management.
- Stripe (where applicable) for subscription billing.
- Apple for notarisation, code-signing, and optional in-app purchase flows.
Each provider processes data under stringent data protection agreements aligned with EU GDPR requirements.
14. Security Measures
SigMeet enforces code signing, notarisation, and sandbox permissions on macOS. All network traffic between the app, SigMeet AI Cloud, and managed services is encrypted via TLS. Access to operational tools is limited to authorised SigMeet team members. We regularly review security controls and update them to match industry standards.
15. Your Rights (GDPR and Equivalent Laws)
Where applicable, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we maintain about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Submit a request via info@sigmeet.ai . We will respond within the timelines required by law.
16. International Data Transfers
SigMeet AI Cloud and supporting services operate on infrastructure located in the European Union. When data is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards provided by our vendors.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SigMeet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, SigMeet AI Cloud, or third-party services. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for SigMeet within the prior twelve months.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect new features, legal requirements, or operational changes. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app or via email. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
19. Contact
